Baby Lemurs Born May 4th | | It's a girl, and a boy, and another boy! They are endangered black and white ruffed lemur babies! They were born on May 4th and right now they are still inside their building - but sometimes you can see them jumping and playing through the access door. They will be let into the outdoor enclosure to join their father and siblings as soon as they are big enough to explore the exhibit on their own in a few months. Zoo News & Events |  | Penguins Farewell: They're Marching Back Home July 4-6
Celebrate this Fourth of July weekend at the Zoo and say farewell to our four Magellanic penguins before the leave the Sacramento Zoo to head back home.
Included in Zoo Admission. Open daily through July 6. |  | Music in the Zoo July 8, 15, & 22: Tuesdays 6 pm
Chill out Tuesday evenings with the hottest music around. Bring a blanket and a friend to the Zoo and enjoy some terrific concerts.

The entire family can enjoy all-you-can-eat Baskin Robbins Ice Cream and Coca-Cola beverages at the 24th Annual Ice Cream Safari at the Sacramento Zoo.

Spider-Man is swinging by the Sacramento Zoo. The Marvel Comics super hero will hang around the Zoo for autographs and photo opportunities.

Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
